• Los Banos Creek Detention Dam project aims to boost California water storage for future dr (kmph.com) — A major upgrade to the Los Banos Creek Detention Dam is adding tens of thousands of acre-feet of new water storage, using existing infrastructure just outside Los Banos to bank water from wet years. Local irrigation districts and farms are expected to benefit, easing groundwater pressure during droughts. Officials hope the project becomes a model for similar water fixes across California.
