• Cal Fire to conduct prescribed burn in Los Osos (ksby.com) — A prescribed burn is scheduled at Morro Dunes Ecological Reserve in Los Osos from today, September 29, through October 1, with possible additional burning October 6–9, weather permitting. Crews will burn cut vegetation to restore rare local plant species and reduce wildfire fuel, and residents are urged not to call in smoke unless there's an actual emergency.
