"National Night Out provides an opportunity for the Seal Beach Police Department, in conjunction with the Los Alamitos Police Department and the Cypress Police Department, and our community partners, to enhance crime prevention by promoting cooperative relationships and reinforcing the need for community involvement," Seal Beach Police Sgt. and Public Information Officer Michael Henderson said.
"Target" is the city's corporate partner, and this year’s event will take place at the Old Ranch Town Center at 12300 Seal Beach Bl. in the northern parking lot. National Night Out will start at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. when the community will come together to take a stand against crime, drugs and disorder in their neighborhoods.

"It is essential that citizens are aware of the importance of police-community partnerships in the identification of problems, and the impact those partnerships have on solving those problems," Stilinovich said.
3,500 to 4,000 attendees are expected at the event.
"We are looking for clubs, associations, and local businesses who wish to promote their services and products to join in a night of information, interacting with public safety and fun," Henderson said.
