2 p.m.  –  3:20 p.m. Current National Landscape of Legal Specialist Certification Programs

Which of the established organizations is contemplating creating a new certification program?  And in what specialty?  Are any contemplatingdiscontinuing a program that just didn’t have enough new applicants?  Who are the new organizations interested in creating specialist certification programs – and if they’re not at the Roundtable this year, how can we get them here next year?

Curt Harrington, a specialist certified in Taxation by the California Board of Legal Specialization, has been asking those questions, and will share the answers he has received.  In the process he will raise further questions about what his research reveals about change in the certification landscape and where opportunities lie for future growth.
