Alumni Report: Cameron Jones Sets University Record
Los Alamitos High School Class of 2007 alumn Cameron Jones tops a record setting university career with an average of 20.5 points a game with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Los Alamitos High School class of 2007 alum Cameron Jones has had his share of ups and downs on the basketball court. After setting a all-time scoring record for Northern Arizona University, he went undrafted in June's NBA Draft, but was picked 10th overall in November's NBA Developmental League draft by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, according to a report by the Arizona Daily Sun.
According to the Arizona Daily Sun, Jones, finished his career in Arizona “with 1,643 points to become the school's all-time leading scorer and averaged 20.1 points per game to break the Jacks' single-season scoring record… Since then, he has averaged 20.5 points per game, which helped lead to a short-lived appearance at the Miami Heat's training camp earlier this month before he was waived from the roster.”
Like his cousin, Landry Fields of the New York Knicks, Jones’ goal is to one day represent his alma mater, Los Alamitos High, in the NBA.
