Huntington Beach Police warned drivers to avoid the area of Bolsa Chica and Warner on Friday due to a construction accident.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A construction crew in the area of Bolsa Chica Street and Warner Avenue broke a gas line in Huntington Beach, officials say. Roads have been closed to divert traffic, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
As of 12 p.m. all were advised to avoid the area while the gas company shuts off the gas line and makes repairs, according to Huntington Beach Police Department information officer Angela Bennett. There was no danger to the public reported, and no evacuations due to the gas lead, Bennett told Patch.
As of 12:15 p.m. eastbound Warner Avenue is closed between Bolsa Chica and Airport Circle, according to the fire department.
