CalTrans Worker Injured When Car Loses Control on 405, CHP Says
A CalTrans worker was injured Wednesday when a car lost control on the 405 Freeway in Westminster according to California Highway Patrol.

WESTMINSTER, CA — A group of Caltrans workers doing landscape work on the southbound 405 Freeway at Edwards escaped major injury Wednesday when a woman lost control of her car on the southbound San Diego Freeway, authorities said.
The driver of the car, which collided into a Caltrans truck before striking the worker, apparently lost control according to California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened just before 9 a.m. near Edwards Street, according to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Janelle Bautista.

A group of Caltrans workers were doing landscaping work on the shoulder when the motorist lost control of her car, which crashed into the rear of a Caltrans truck, Bautista said. The car then struck another Caltrans truck before hitting the worker, she said.
The driver and the Caltrans worker were taken to area hospitals to be treated for minor injuries, Bautista said. Their names were not released.

The two right lanes of the freeway were closed for the investigation.
