Convenience Store Armed Robbers Sought in Garden Grove

Two armed suspects wanted in a series of Garden Grove area 7-Eleven robberies are being sought by local police.

GARDEN GROVE, CA — Police today released are looking for two men wanted for at least two armed robberies this month at 7-Eleven convenience stores in Garden Grove.

"The most recent stickup occurred about 2:50 a.m. Wednesday at 13472 Euclid St.," Garden Grove police Lt. Bob Bogue stated. "A suspect walked into the store, bought a cigarette lighter and left, followed by a second masked suspect who burst in waving a handgun at a clerk while demanding cash"

The second suspect got away with $200 in cash, Bogue said, and both suspects fled in a dark-colored, four-door sedan.

Another 7-Eleven store at 12752 Brookhurst St. was robbed in much the same way on Sept. 15 at 12:30 a.m., and police believe it is related to Wednesday's robbery, Bogue said.

One of the suspect was described as a Latino man in his 20s, 5-foot-10 and weighing about 150 pounds with short dark hair and a thin mustache with a goatee. He was wearing a black shirt and white shorts in the most recent robbery, the lieutenant said.

The other suspect, who was brandishing the weapon, is a Latino man in his 20s, about 5-foot-10 and and 170 pounds, with black hair. H was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, a red baseball cap and had a dark bandanna over his face, Bogue said. The suspect was carrying a satchel where he hid the semi-auto pistol used in the robbery.
