Disney Employee Gets Probation for Trying to Trade Disneyland Tickets for Sex with Teen

A former Disney hotel employee pleaded guilty to trying to trade Disneyland tickets for sex with a teen, who was really an undercover cop.

A former dishwasher at a Disney-owned hotel pleaded guilty today to attempting to give Disneyland tickets to a teenage girl -- who was actually an undercover police officer -- in exchange for sex acts and was sentenced to a year in jail.

Darreck Michael Enciso, 27, of Adelanto, accepted a plea deal from Orange County Superior Court Judge Derek Johnson, who also placed the defendant on five years of formal probation and ordered him to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Encisco has credit for about six months in custody, Deputy District Attorney Bobby Taghavi said.

Encisco pleaded guilty to an attempted lewd act on a child, contacting a child with the intent to commit a specified sex crime and meeting a minor with the intent to engage in lewd conduct, all felonies.

The defendant posted an ad on Craigslist July 1 seeking women who would engage in sex acts in exchange for tickets to the Anaheim theme park. A Huntington Beach police officer working undercover contacted the defendant, posing as a 14-year-old girl, and set up a meeting, according to Taghavi.

Enciso showed up for the meeting on July 9 with condoms and Disneyland tickets in hand, and was arrested.

The defendant was immediately relieved of his duties as a dishwasher at one of the company’s Disneyland-area hotels -- which one was not disclosed -- upon his arrest, according to Disney officials.
