Check Out: Photos from the 2013 Los Al Easter Carnival

As part of the event, city staff bought about 8,000 toy eggs for the egg hunts.

Scrambled, over-easy or sunny-side up?

Nope. Plastic.

Between 1,200 to 1,400 people attended the Los Alamitos Easter Carnival this weekend, according to organizers.

The event, sponsored by the Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department, took place Saturday morning at Little Cottonwood Park.

“Each year it continues to grow,” said Molly Patience, a city sports coordinator. "Everything went very smoothly.”

The carnival included an egg hunt, carnival games, a visit from the Easter Bunny and two food trucks:  Pulp Fusion and the Flip Truck.

According Patience, staff bought about 8,000 eggs for the egg hunts.

Ron Noda, a city recreation manager, said he wasn’t sure when the first Los Al Easter Carnival was held, but said it's been happening annually for at least the last 12 years. He also said he thought the attendees had a great time.
