Eight People Detained After Brawl on Ocean Avenue

- 06/26/2013 — 1:12 a.m. —1st Street and Ocean Avenue — Loud firecrackers were heard in the area, possibly in the beach parking lot.
DISTURBANCE – FIGHT
- 06/27/2013 — 2:41 a.m. — Ocean Avenue — Eight people were involved in a fight on Ocean Avenue. One caller said her friend was being jumped,” and dispatchers noted “lots of screaming in the background.” Officer detained eight people. No arrests were reported.

- 06/27/2013 — 6:08 a.m. — 15 Street — A neighbor’s residence was being toilet papered. The caller didn’t know how many juveniles were involved, and the youths were gone by the time police arrived.
PATROL CHECK
- 06/27/2013 — 6:56 a.m. — Marina Drive — People were sleeping inside two vehicles in the park.
BROKEN SIGNAL
- 06/27/2013 — 8:34 a.m. — Seal Beach Boulevard and Old Ranch Road —The left turn light at the Old Ranch Road was out and causing a backup. The caller had to wait five cycles before the light would turn green, so he could turn left onto Old Ranch.
