Elderly Female Touches Faces of Woman’s Children, Follows Them

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

MUNICIPAL CODE VIOLATION

06/26/2013 — 6:01 a.m. — Lampson Avenue — Someone had been using a chainsaw and cutting down trees for 30 minutes.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

06/26/2013 — 10:24 a.m. — Avalon Drive and Catalina Avenue — A white older truck was driving slowly through a neighborhood. The driver was described as a man in his 20s, and the caller, concerned about recent burglaries, said the incident seemed suspicious. 

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

06/26/2013 — 10:58 a.m. — 12th Street and Ocean Avenue — A woman in her late 60s allegedly touched a woman’s children on their faces and then followed them. She was last seen walking down an alley on 12th Street. She was described as wearing black pants, a flowered shirt and a white baseball cap.

LOBBY

06/26/2013 — 1:28 p.m. — Electric Avenue — Collectible coins had gone missing from a caller’s safe within the past year.

VANDALISM REPORT

06/26/2013 — 1:37 p.m. — 13th Street — A caller said someone damaged his or her driveway. Later, dispatchers note, it was discovered to just be an old piece of carpet.
