Don and Loretta are an acoustic singing / songwriting duo and will feature special guests on guitar and/or background vocals.
Loretta McNair has been singing and writing songs since her grandfather bought her a guitar for her 12th Christmas. Over the past 25 years she has toured with a national chorus, performed in many local musical theater productions, and played cover tunes in the local pop club circuit since the disco era. In 1996 she began focusing on her own originals and has since released 2 CDs of original jazz and blues which received radio airplay all over the world. Herbie Hancock has said, “Loretta’s songs are fresh and unique. Her voice is clear with a beautiful balance between warmth and edgy power. Her lyrics are exquisite and the musical performances are gripping with emotion. The more I hear, the more I want to hear.”
Don LaCorte’s career spanned 15 years in Boston, NY and now So. Cal playing bass in every venue and band from disco to jazz. Don had his own band, “Blue House,” playing clubs and casuals in LA & Orange counties, and has been both the singing lead man and sideman on bass for Gerald Ishibashi, Anthony Terrezza, Ricky Lewis, Van Diemen’s Band, West Coast Strays, Phil Shane, Renee Rojanaro, Barbara Reed Jazz Quartet, South Coast Singers, Chris Daniels Project, Capitol Beach Calgary Worship Band and the North Long Beach Calgary Worship Band, to name a few.
