These groups meet weekly, simultaneously, but separately in order to meet different needs and are led by trained  facilitators.

18+ yrs old

Continually since 1980, the  program has offered support, educational services & resources through weekly support groups when professionals in the Long Beach community saw the unmet needs for post-acute services for stroke survivors and their family members in returning to the community and to meaningful lives, all at no cost.

** Stroke is The No. 1 cause of adult disability, the third leading cause of death behind heart disease and cancer in the United States and knows no age boundaries. Nearly 80% of strokes are Preventable.
