Always be sure that your Craigslist ticket purchases are on the up and up. A Pasadena man selling fake Disneyland tickets got a hard lesson.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — It's the happiest place on earth, and it can be pricey to enter, but be careful where you purchase your tickets. A man who sold fake Disneyland tickets through Craigslist now has two years to think about his crime, as well as paying back those he bilked out of the price of entry.
Brian Edward Anderton, 43, was sentenced to serve two years in prison along with restitution in excess of $2,400 to the customers who purchased fake tickets to Disneyland, according to a release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.

The fraudulent ticket scam earned Anderton more than $2,400 from five different individuals from January to August of this year, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. It stated that Anderton utilized Craigslist as a method of selling his fraudulent tickets.
According to reports, ticket purchasers only discovered the tickets were fakes when they arrived at Disneyland and were notified that the passes to the park were not authentic.
