Firefighters Rescue Duck Family Trapped in Storm Drain
Somehow, a family of ducks made it into a storm drain but couldn't get out again without a little help.
Firefighters tonight rescued a family of ducklings from a storm drain in Costa Mesa where they became trapped.
Firefighters were summoned about 8 p.m. to the 3300 block of Hyland Avenue, according to the Costa Mesa Fire Department, which tweeted photos of the rescue.
It took about 30 minutes to free the ducks.

It was unclear how the creatures managed to get into but not out of the storm drain.
