'A Fixture In The Seal Beach Community': Robin Fort-Lincke Dies After Battle With Cancer

Robin Fort-Lincke was a creative powerhouse in town, loved for her positive and selfless personality. She died at 67.

SEAL BEACH, CA — The community is mourning a creative powerhouse and a well-loved daughter, sister and friend after Robin Fort-Lincke passed away after a brief and difficult battle with cancer.

She died in Seal Beach on April 4, the Seal Beach Police Department said in a statement. She was 67.

The longtime Seal Beach resident was born in Montebello and grew up in nearby Whittier until she moved to Seal Beach in the mid-'70s.

In the beachside community, Robin worked for over 32 years in television production for the local SBTV3, where she was loved for her selfless and positive personality.

Robin was also a self-taught artist, and a love for cinema motivated her to get her career started colorizing black and white movies.

She played a vital part in several local committees and organizations, including Seal Beach City Staff, Leisure World Group, OC Marshall's Department - Most Wanted, Pageant of the Arts, McGaugh School. She also served as the head of the Monte Vista Alumni Association.

"It was not uncommon for Robin to go beyond the parameters of her daily job to produce projects for fallen officers and to memorialize people in the community on her own time," a statement from the Seal Beach Police Department read. "Her efforts did not go unnoticed as she collected many awards through the years for her work."

Robin is survived by sisters Renee and Linda, along with her brother, Bob.

She also leaves behind her longtime partner Raul Ahumada, a retired police sergeant with the Seal Beach Police Department.

“We will remember my sister for her giving heart and fighting spirit,”sister Renee Hamer of Seal Beach said. “The outpouring of love and support from friends, family and the local community has been overwhelming. It is comforting to know the positive impact my sister had on so many people’s lives. We will miss her terribly.”

Residents who wish to honor the life and memory of Robin were invited to join in on a Celebration of Life event at noon on Thursday, April 27 at Grace Community Church, 138 8 Street. Residents were advised to arrive early, as parking is limited.
