In case of earthquake or other natural disaster, the community of Los Alamitos looks to the CERT team for assistance. Here's how to join.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — It is time again to join the West County Community Emergency Response Team.
In Los Alamitos area, the next class will get you certified.
Los Alamitos Police Department Corporal Stacy Smith is the coordinator for the CERT program.

Community Emergency Response Team is organized to be on hand as a resource to your family and neighborhood, when it might take first responders up to seven days to reach a given area during an earthquake or other natural disaster.
West County CERT will be hosting their next class April 7, 8 and 14, 15 at the Joint Forces Training Base.
