Hit and Run Crash Causes SigAlert on 405 Freeway
A hit and run crash caused injuries and shut down three lanes on the San Diego (405) Freeway during the morning commute.
Three middle lanes were closed this morning on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Fountain Valley because of a hit-and- run accident, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident happened on the northbound San Diego Freeway at the Brookhurst Street offramp at 4:56 a.m., the CHP reported, saying there were injuries but initially providing no details.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 5:09 a.m. shutting down the numbers 3, 4 and 5 lanes at the request of the Costa Mesa Fire Department.
