Homeless Man Says He’s Going to Kill 'An Indian'

Also in local crime calls, a caller spotted four men smoking marijuana in a silver sedan near Galleon Way.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • 06/19/2013 — 7:07 p.m. — Pacific Coast Highway — A man was loitering in front of a nearby business, chasing birds in the parking lot and breaking branches off the bushes. The caller thought it was suspicious and described the man as wearing a beanie, an olive jacket, dark pants and black shoes. The man was also not wearing a shirt.

PETTY THEFT REPORT

  • 06/19/2013 — 9:54 p.m. — Someone stole a man’s laptop in the last four hours, and the man thinks it might be one of his roommates.

TRANSIENT

  • 06/19/2013 — 10:30 p.m. — A transient who appeared to be drunk came up to the lifeguard shack, started asking for a taxi and then walked southbound on PCH and said he was going to kill "an Indian." The man was described as in his late 50s and 60s, 6-feet, thin with gray hair and beard and a green shirt and khaki pants.

DRUG USE REPORT

  • 06/19/2013 — 11:22 p.m. — Galleon Way — A caller said a silver sedan was occupied by four people who were allegedly smoking marijuana. The vehicle was last seen heading southbound through an alley. The subjects said they had a medical marijuana card and then left the area.

PATROL CHECK

  • 6/19/2013 —11:48 P.M.  — Westminster Avenue — A power pole was sparking and there was a loud buzzing sound coming from it, a caller said. Officers said they were unable to locate it.
