Huntington Beach Man Found with over 25-pounds of Meth
A 41-year-old man is jailed without bail and facing felony charges for being found with over $100,000 worth of drugs in his vehicle.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A man is jailed without bail, facing felony charges stemming from a traffic stop in Huntington Beach that resulted in the discovery of drugs with a street value of more than $100,000, police reported Tuesday.
Mario George Marin, 41, is charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and sale or transport of a controlled substance, with a sentence-enhancing allegation of possession a container with more than 25 pounds of methamphetamine.
Marin was pulled over by police about 6 p.m. Thursday for an alleged vehicle code violation, according to Huntington Beach police Officer Jennifer Marlatt.

A drug-sniffing dog ferreted out more than 20 pounds of meth in various containers and packaging, as well as 289 grams of heroin, in the vehicle, according to Marlatt.
Marin, who pleaded not guilty on Monday, is due back in court Oct. 28 for a pretrial hearing.
