Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park to Host Santa Hustle Half Marathon & 5K

Thousands of participants will show off their holiday spirit as they run [or walk] in this first annual event. Bring on the Christmas cheer!

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, you’re warmly welcomed to join in on some jolly fun at the 1st Annual Santa Hustle 5K and Half Marathon on Sunday, December 14 beginning at 7 a.m. for the Half Marathon and 7:10 a.m. for the 5K race.

Race participants will receive a Santa hat and beard along with a dri-fit sweatshirt to show off their holiday spirit during the event. Santa Hustle participants are invited to elaborate on their Santa accessories to win best individual and group costume prizes.

Throughout the course-which runs along the streets of Buena Park and throughout Knott’s Berry Farm-runners will be delighted with Christmas cookies and candy to devour-along with seasonal music and decorations to put everyone in the Christmas mood.

Medals will be awarded for the top three male and female finishers in each age category, and all who complete the half marathon will receive a finishers medal. An epic after party will be held to celebrate once the 5K and half marathon are done!!

Since the holiday season is the perfect time to give back, proceeds from The Santa Hustle Buena Park will benefit Giving Children Hope, a non-profit organization which provides valuable resources such as nutritional foods, medical assistance and other basic needs to front line responders assisting vulnerable children and families.

“The Santa Hustle is always a great holiday event; we’re very excited to benefit Children Giving Hope to spread some cheer to those who could truly use it, along with volunteers for this organization,” said Aaron Del Mar, founder and owner of Adrenaline Sports Management.

Santa’s can register today at www.santahustle.com. Through October 31, 2014, the registration fee for the Half Marathon is $95. From November 1 to December 12, the cost is $100. (entry fee for half marathon includes a 3-day pass to Knott’s Berry Farm). Registration for the 5K is $45 until October 31 and $50 from November 1 until December 12. **5K participants can get a discounted rate on Knott’s Berry Farm admission.
