Leisure World Pharmacy Burglarized Amid Rash of Thefts
A pharmacy in Leisure World was broken into this week amid a rash of pharmacy burglaries countywide.
A burglar broke into a Leisure World pharmacy Tuesday, making off with prescription narcotics.
The burglary comes amid a rash of pharmacy break-ins countywide, and detectives are investigating any possible connections to the other burglaries, said Seal Beach Police Department Michael Henderson.
“Our detectives are actively investigating," said Henderson.

The burglary occurred sometime after midnight Tuesday morning when the thief smashed a window at the Leisure World Healthcare Center and got into a cabinet containing narcotic prescriptions, said Henderson.
“We know it’s a male, and we are working on recovering surveillance video,” said Henderson.

Anyone with information about the burglary should call the Seal Beach Police Department detectives bureau at 562-799-4100.
On Wednesday night, pharmacies in Anaheim, Villa Park, Tustin and Garden Grove were also targeted by thieves.
In March, three Newport Beach pharmacies were hit all in the same night just two days after another series of heists in Garden Grove.
