Los Alamitos Area Parents Critically Injured in Thanksgiving Crash
A wife and husband were critically injured on Thanksgiving afternoon in a two-car crash in Riverside. Their child was also in the car.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Tragedy struck a Garden Grove family on Thanksgiving afternoon. Two parents were critically injured Thursday in a car crash in Riverside when their Chevy Malibu was struck by a Lexus, authorities said.
Riverside police reported at 5:45 p.m. at Wood Road and Silo Street, according to Riverside police.
The wife, reportedly driving, pulled away from a stop sign at westbound Silo Street to turn left on Wood Road and her 2007 Chevrolet Malibu pulled into the path of a 1996 Lexus LX450 SUV driven by a 31-year-old Riverside woman, police said. The Lexus struck the side of the Malibu.

The Malibu driver and her husband were taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. Their 4-year-old child was not hurt.
The Lexus driver and two male passengers complained of pain but refused treatment at the scene, police said. An 18-month-old child in the SUV was not hurt.

The Riverside police Major Accident Investigation Team was investigating the collision.
