Los Alamitos Concert-Movie Combos Kick Off July 13
The three summer flicks? Finding Nemo, the Avengers and Grease.
Superheroes, talking fish and young lovers will meet up with three local bands starting next week in Los Alamitos.
The city’s Music and Movie Event Series kicks off July 13 at Laurel Park, 10862 Bloomfield Street, with the band Mojo Sonic and the movie Grease.
Two more concert-movie combos will follow: one at July 27 at the Joint Forces Training Base pool and another at Aug. 10, back at Laurel Park.

Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and the movies begin at dusk.
“It’s just a way for the family to get out,” said Molly Patience, Los Alamitos sports coordinator. “There’s a little bit of everything.

Sponsored by the city Recreation and Community Development Department , each event will include raffle prizes, children activities, and food or refreshments for sale. And, for the first time, some food trucks will be on scene.
