Los Alamitos Student Named National Merit Scholar

Michelle Leon of Los Alamitos High School was one of 19 Orange County students to be awarded the honor.

A Los Alamitos High School student was one of 19 Orange County high school students named National Merit Scholars today.

The students honored in the national program are eligible for a variety of scholarships. Some will be given scholarships that are renewable for up to four years of college and offered stipends of $500-$10,000 annually. Some scholarships are one-time awards of $2,500-$5,000.
