Meet Thunderbirds, Air Force Pilots Thursday In Los Alamitos
The Joint Forces Training Base is opening its gates Thursday Oct. 3 for families to "meet the pilots and crews" in an autograph session.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA ā This week, the sky overhead has roared with planes headed to the Joint Forces Training Base in advance of the Great Pacific Air Show. On Thursday, Oct. 3, the base will open their gates for all to come and meet the pilots.
Come on out to the Los Alamitos Army Airfield flight line, Hangar 1 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday through Sunday, all eyes will turn skyward to watch the acrobatics and soaring of the Thunderbirds, Red Arrows and Snow Birds, but on Thursday, you'll have a chance to meet the pilots and their crews right here on the ground in Los Alamitos.

Confirmed participants include:
- U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds
- F-35 Demonstration Teams
- Royal Air Force Red Arrows
- Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds
"We look forward to welcoming you and your families to JTFB," Installation Commander Col. Nick Ducich said.

This is a prime opportunity to come face to face with real heroes.
Admission and parking is free. Those over 16-years-old will be required to show a photo ID at the gate. All children must be accompanied by their parents or guardian, and only valid service dogs are allowed on the base, they said.
Be sure and come back for the Great Pacific Air Show Friday through Sunday, Oct. 4-6, at Huntington Beach between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
