GARDEN GROVE, CA — A Garden Grove strip mall fire demolished a large section of a building on Valley View Street Thursday evening, resulting in an estimated $1.25 million in damages, Orange County Fire Authority reported.

Approximately four units were damaged during the firefight, and no one was injured in the blaze, OCFA said.

Firefighters arrived at the 12500 block of Valley View Street just before 8:45 p.m. Thursday and extinguished the flames, according to OCFA. The fire was contained to the steeply sloped exterior roof—also called the mansard.
