Murder Investigation At Seal Beach Area Hotel

WESTMINSTER, CA — A murder investigation was underway Tuesday morning as a woman in her 20s was found dead inside her Westminster hotel room late Monday night, according to reports from the scene.

The young woman's body was found inside the Quality Inn Hotel Suites on the 6600 block of Westminster Boulevard, at approximately 11 p.m.

The woman's identity has not yet been released, pending notification of her family.

"Defectives and homicide investigators investigated the room on the north side of the hotel," Westminster Police Cmdr. Cameron Knauerhaze said. "We got a call around 11 p.m. from concerned family members. There had been suspicious circumstances, and officers went to the room and located the deceased female adult. They arrived at the room and found evidence that appeared she had been the victim of a homicide."

The victim had checked into the hotel sometime this week, Knauerhaze said. Thus far, no arrests have been made.
