Murder Suspect Considered Armed and Dangerous

Police warn that a suspect in a bar stabbing frequents the Huntington Beach area and is considered armed and dangerous.

A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death during a fight with another man at a Laguna Niguel bar early this morning and sheriff’s investigators were searching for the suspect, who is a documented gang member, authorities said.

The stabbing was reported at 12:15 a.m. at Patsy’s Irish Pub at 28971 Golden Lantern St., according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim -- identified by the Orange County coroner’s office as 22- year-old Shayan Mazroei of Laguna Niguel -- was transported to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Craig Tanber, ā€œa documented gang member with a significant criminal history, was being sought and should be considered armed and dangerous, said Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock.

ā€œHe frequents the south Orange County area and the city of Huntington Beach,ā€ Hallock said.

Tanber is described as white, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 190 pounds with brown hair, hazel eyes and numerous tattoos covering his body.
