• Los Alamitos Hosts Annual Trunk-Or-Treat Event (patch.com) — Families in Los Alamitos can look forward to a free, family-friendly Trunk-or-Treat celebration at Little Cottonwood Park on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The city's Recreation and Community Services Department is offering costume contests, a pumpkin patch, games, prizes, candy-filled trunks, a spooky train, and more, with proceeds from adult beverages supporting the Los Alamitos Community Foundation.
   

• Silver Alert Activated For 67-Year-Old Man in Orange, Los Angeles Counties (mynewsla.com) — A 67-year-old man with dementia was last seen around 1 a.m. Wednesday near Katella Avenue and Los Alamitos Boulevard, prompting a Silver Alert in Orange and Los Angeles counties. He may now be in the Cerritos area, and anyone who spots him is urged to call 911 immediately so he can be safely reunited with his caregivers.
