School will soon be
out for the summer, which means plenty of time for reading. Join the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library for a
flock of fun at their “Paws to Read” summer reading program. During the next few months, the Library will
host a range of free activities for children,
teens and adults that encourage and support a love of reading. The program is simple: Read books and earn prizes! In addition, kids
ages 3-10 are invited to our weekly “Dog Gone Good Wednesday” events, June 25 –
July 30 from 3:30pm – 4:15pm! Events
will feature magicians, wild animals, music, and more. These events are FREE, thanks to the
generosity of the Friends of the Library.
“Dine out Wednesdays”
is back this year! You can help support the Friends of the Library by visiting
local area restaurants on Wednesdays from June 25 through Aug. 13. Visit www.friendsoflarlibrary.org
for dates, participating restaurants, and to download the Friends’ fundraising
flyers. You also can pick up a flyer at
the Library. These restaurants will
donate a percentage of your check to the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library which
will go towards purchasing books and funding children and adult programs. The flyer must be presented when ordering.
The Library is
located at 12700 Montecito Road in Seal Beach. For more information, please
call the library at 562-430-1048, ext. 3.
