Pedestrian IDd In Fatal Huntington Beach Collision

A pedestrian who was struck last week and died from injuries sustained in the crash was identified by the Orange County Coroner's office.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A 44-year-old pedestrian who was struck and fatally injured in early May by a vehicle in Huntington Beach was identified Sunday by the Orange County coroner's office.

Gregory Cobb was hit by a vehicle about 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, according to the coroner's office. The exact location of the crash was not released by the office.

Cobb was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange where he died about an hour later, according to authorities.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Cobb remained at the scene. No one was cited, according to the Huntington Beach police, who was investigating the crash.
