PHOTO: 25-Foot Section of Breakwater Berm Washed Away

From the Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach:

As the above image shows, a 25-30-foot section of the east breakwater protecting Anaheim Bay was partially washed away by yesterday’s extreme wave action, and the navigation aid at the end of that breakwater was destroyed.

Although this has not impacted operations here at the weapons station, small boat captains should be especially cautious when entering or exiting the harbor until further notice.
