Recycle Your Christmas Tree In Los Alamitos
After the holidays are over, those Christmas trees become a fire hazard. Here is how to properly recycle your tree.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA ā O Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, it's time to recycle you, you see! Dried out trees are a fire hazard, and it's time to make room for all of your new Christmas haul.
Thanks to the folks at Republic Services, at no additional cost, clean and bare holiday trees will be collected, curbside Wednesday, December 26, 2018 through Saturday, January 12, 2019.
Collection day for holiday trees will be on the same day as regular residential trash pick-up day therefore, it is not necessary to contact Republic Services to schedule a pick-up. To ensure that your tree does not miss collection, please ensure that the following process is followed:

- Place your tree at the curb for pick-up on your regular collection day.
- Trees that are taller than six (6) feet should be cut in half.
- After this collection period, you can cut your tree into pieces and place the pieces into your yard-waste container. Cut the pieces small enough that the lid will close on your bin.
We hope you had a happy holiday! and thank you for recycling.
