Recycle Your Christmas Tree In Los Alamitos, 2020
If your live Christmas tree is looking more brown than green, it's time to get it out to the curb! Here is when and where to recycle.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA ā Is your tinsel looking a little less sparkly? Or your tree losing all of its needles? Live trees left too long after Christmas are a fire hazard, according to fire officials.
In Los Alamitos, your tree may be able to be picked up, curbside. If it can't be picked up locally, there may be a drop off location where you can dispose of the tree responsibly.
If Christmas trees are collected in your area, please ensure your Christmas tree is prepared in a safe and environmentally responsible manner by following these guidelines:

- Trees should not exceed maximum length allowed for pickup and may require cutting
- Remove any tinsel, lights, or ornaments
- Leave your tree at the curb the night before your scheduled pickup day
- Please ensure that trees are not "flocked"
Thanks to the folks at Republic Services, at no additional cost, clean and bare holiday trees will be collected, curbside starting December 26.
Collection day for holiday trees will be on the same day as regular residential trash pick-up day therefore, it is not necessary to contact Republic Services to schedule a pick-up.
