Rossmoor Summer Movies, Concerts and Theater in the Park Starts Today
The free summer series starts off tonight at Rush Park with a concert and showing of "Smurfs."
The Summer solstice on Wednesday made it official, but Rossmoor’s movies and concerts in the park make it real: Summer is here!
Today marks the start of the summer concert and movie series at Rossmoor’s Rush Park.
The Summertime Sizzles series hosted by the Rossmoor Community Services District kicks off at 7 p.m. tonight with a free concert by Army Girls, Brooklyn Haley, MoZaiK & Awesome Sauce, starring Nickelodeon actress Pink. A showing of the film “Smurfs” will follow the concert.

Throughout the summer, there will be a combination of movies, concerts and Shakespeare in the Park.

- Aug. 17: “Puss In Boots”
Summer Concerts in the Park
Bands will play from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Fridays
- June 29: Turn the Page (Bob Seger Tribute)
- July 27: Elm St. Band
- Aug. 10: Peggy Nelson Project
Shakespeare in the Park
- The plays will begin at 7 p.m.
- July 28: “Two Gentleman of Verona”
- July 29: “Romeo and Juliet”
