The median price in Seal Beach has risen more than 26% in the past year with sales up more than 40%. Los Alamitos has seen prices rise 17% and volume increase by 93%. It may seem counter intuitive to see sales volume up while prices go up as well. Again, you have to realize we are starting very small numbers (relatively). Another huge factor is the quality of the homes we are seeing these days. Most homes are now standard sales and distressed sales are going by the wayside. While there are still more buyers than the market can bear, they are not settling on just any old home. They still want a good home, in good condition and in a good location. If your home meets those criteria, it will sell like nobody’s business.
