Seal Beach CPK Fundraiser Honors Slain Long Beach Fire Captain
California Pizza Kitchen announced a fundraiser in honor of the Long Beach Fire Captain & OC resident, who was shot and killed last month.
SEAL BEACH, CA — California Pizza Kitchen has announced a fundraiser in honor of slain Long Beach Fire Captain Dave Rosa. CPK's "pizza with a purpose" has organized a day long July 17 fundraiser across southern California. The day long event is in conjunction with The Fallen Heroes organization, CPK spokesperson said.
The Fallen Heroes is a nonprofit organization who provides support for families of those killed in the line of duty across California. Rosa, 45, was a San Juan Capistrano resident and longtime firefighter from Long Beach. He shot and killed while responding to an explosion and fire at a high rise senior living apartment complex.
"The fundraiser is a good opportunity for the community to gather and support a worthy cause while paying tribute to Rosa," Jack Bunditwong, CPK general manager in downtown Long Beach said. "It's a way to give support to the community and generate sales for The Fallen Heroes."

Flyers are available at the below CPK locations. Guests will be asked to present the flyer upon paying their check, the organization said. Twenty percent of the proceeds from each check will go to The Fallen Heroes. Applicable purchases include dining-in, takeout, catering and all beverages, they said.
