Seal Beach Residents Urged To Volunteer For Homeless Count

Seal Beach residents were urged to volunteer for the biennial Point in Time Homeless County and Survey on Jan. 25.

SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach residents were urged by city officials to take part in volunteering for the biennial Orange County Point in Time Homeless Count and Survey on Thursday, Jan. 25.

The biennial Point in Time homeless count will provide updated numbers and demographics on the homeless population to help guide government response to the growing issue.

Residents can volunteer to work as team captains, field surveyors, photographers and videographers. Folks can also donate hygiene kits that will be distributed during the census, as well as financial donations.

Residents can register to volunteer within the South County Service Planning Area. According to the county, on-site training is Jan. 10 and will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the El Toro Library, 24672 Raymond Way, Lake Forest.

Virtual training sessions are also available on January 16 and 17, and additional info may be found at the Volunteer Training Opportunities page.
