Seal Beach Tot Lot Closed Due To Pier Renovations
The tot lot adjacent to the Seal Beach Pier was to be closed Wednesday, due to the cranes working in the area.
SEAL BEACH, CA — Parents, better make alternative plans if you were hoping to take the kids to the Seal beach Tot Lot adjacent to the pier on Wednesday. That area of the beach playground will be closed, officials said, due ot the work on the pier happening near the playground.
A large crane was placed on the Seal Beach pier Tuesday, according to Assistant City Manager Patrick Gallegos. That crane will be there to help in maintenance, removing "lateral support beams" for the pier. Another crane will be used to move scaffolding materials, he said.
More work will be scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11, when the large crane will be moved to the pier's end for "pile driving," the Sun reported.

The pier will stay open during the work, though the tot lot will be intermittently closed.
