Seal Beach Women: Have You Dated This Suspected E-Harmony Predator?

A north Orange County man was charged with rape and related charges following an E-Harmony online date. Police are seeking other victims.

SEAL BEACH, CA — A local man was charged with raping a woman he met through the online dating service E-Harmony. Now, Seal Beach police are seeking victims who may have suffered sexual assault or date-rape at the hands of a suspected online predator.

"On April 29, 2017, Seal Beach Police Detectives arrested Robert Diaz Lua Jr., a 35-year-old Seal Beach resident, for a sexual assault," SBPD Sgt. Michael Henderson said.

According to Henderson, Lua met the victim through the on-line dating website “E-Harmony.”

"Lua is charged with Rape and other related charges," Henderson said. "He is formerly a resident of the City of Merced.

Lua is currently out on bond, according to Henderson. As of Wednesday, May 3, no other victims have come forward, however Seal Beach Police Detectives are still seeking other possible victims.
