SIGALERT Stops Northbound 5 At 91 Freeway

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — A traffic collision on the 5 Freeway just north of north of the 91 Freeway has traffic at a dead stop for at least an hour, according to California Highway Patrol. Emergency responders are on the scene of a collision reported at just before 10:15 a.m. Tuesday during a torrential downpour.

"The HOV lane is blocked for at least one hour," a CHP spokesperson said. Traffic was slowing down as drivers approached the northbound 5 at the 91, and remained slow past West Orangethorpe Avenue. Drivers in North Orange County were informed to seek alternate routes northbound until at least 11:30 a.m.
