Slideshow: Old School Punkers Celebrate Record Store Day in Seal Beach
Fans of the punk bank Channel 3, which originated in the 80s, flocked to Left of the Dial Records in Seal Beach Saturday to celebrate Record Store Day.
Veteran punkers Channel 3 dropped plentiful quips and powerchords in their Record Store Day appearance at Left of the Dial Records
Fans under 10 and over 50 swayed in the midst of stacks of records T-shirts and posters to celebrate all things vinyl. The 80’s era, Southern California punk band helped Seal Beach usher in the national celebration of record albums and the stores that still sell them.
The first Record Store Day was in 2008 and is internationally celebrated the third Saturday of April each year. The day includes limited release vinyl, EP’s, and other promotional material. This year, Iggy Pop was the Official Ambassador of Record Store Day.
