Sound Off: Hope for NBA Season Fades Fast. What Do You Think of the Players' Stance?

Player rejection of owners' latest offer reinforces the specter of a season-long lockout. How do you feel about that?

According to prognosticators, the chances for an NBA season appeared to go out with a whimper yesterday after the players rejected the owners’ latest proposal, which would have players earning half of all NBA revenue, down 7 percent from last year, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Players contend they are holding out for the well-being of players for decades to come. Commissioner David Stern called the players irresponsible and predicted that the NBA was heading into a “nuclear winter” during an interview with ESPN.

The negotiations appear to be headed from the bargaining table into the courtroom.
