Where You Can and Can't Watch the Stanley Cup Finals

For only the fourth time ever, the Stanley Cup Finals will be played out in Southern California tonight when the Los Angeles Kings take on the New Jersey Devils. However, cable and satellite TV customers in Los Alamitos and Seal Beach may not be able to watch the game unless they have purchased top tier packages.

Some fans may not be able to watch the telecast of tonight's game, which
is airing at 5 p.m. on cable's NBC Sports Network. Subscribers to Time Warner Cable
must subscribe to the Variety Tier, where the game will be shown on Channel
267, or the HD Tier, where it will be shown on Channel 469.

DirecTV subscribers must subscribe to the Choice Xtra, Choice Ultimate
or Premier packages, where it is shown on Channel 603. DISH subscribers must
subscribe to the America's Top 250 or America's Everything Pak, where it is
shown on Channel 151.

For fans looking to watch the game at a local sports bar Legends in Belmont Shore is a known haunt for Kings Fans. The bars at and have been playing the games throughout the postseason, and The Sportsman, the , , , , and are all champion sports bars in town.

The Los Angeles Kings will try to move within one victory of their first Stanley Cup when they play host to the New Jersey Devils today in Game 3 of the final at Staples Center.

``It's going to be nuts,'' Kings defenseman Drew Doughty said. ``Every series, the rink is getting louder and louder. We can't wait to get in front of those home fans and hopefully get them a few wins.''

Doughty expects the Devils ``to come out hard'' tonight.    ``They're playing desperate,'' Doughty said. ``They know they have to win four out of five now. They're going to be playing their best hockey.''

 Despite the Kings taking a two games to none lead in the best-of-seven series with a 2-1 victory Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Jeff Carter's goal 13 minutes, 42 seconds into overtime, Doughty said, ``I think these first two games we haven't been at our best, so it's time we pick up our socks and play our best hockey too.''

New Jersey coach Peter DeBoer remains optimistic despite the losses.    ``We really believe we can win a game (tonight),'' DeBoer said. ``If we do, we think it's a different series.”

The Devils were behind in each of their other three playoff series this year. They trailed the Florida Panthers, two games to one and three games to two in the first round, lost the first game to the Philadelphia Flyers, then won each of the next four, and trailed the New York Rangers one game to none and two games to one, and then won each of the final three games.

``We know ... that we're capable of doing that,'' DeBoer said. ``It's a matter of getting it done. This isn't an easy task. They're a very good team. They've shown that. But we're a confident group. There will be no laying down
by our group.''

However, the Devils could well be out of their element tonight. Their flight Sunday to Los Angeles International Airport was their first since winning Game 7 of their first-round series against the Florida Panthers April 26. (Their series against Philadelphia and the Rangers only required bus transportation.)

This is also New Jersey's first game outside the Eastern Time Zone since Jan. 14 and the first in the Pacific Time Zone since a 3-0 victory over the Kings Oct. 25.

History is very much on the Kings' side. Of the 11 previous teams that have swept the first two games of the final on the road, nine have gone on to win the Stanley Cup.

Although the game is sold out, tickets can still be purchased on various websites. Tickets on the team's official TicketExchange page on its website, LAKings.com, were priced from $402 to $747 in the top tier of Staples Center, $661 to $805 in the middle tier and $770 to $828 on the bottom tier early today.
