Summer Parks Program Returns To Los Alamitos

From the City of Los Alamitos: The Los Alamitos Summer Parks Program, sponsored by Southland Credit Union, is a free, drop-in program for children ages 5-12 located at Little Cottonwood Park and Orville R. Lewis Park from June 3-August 2 (closed July 4). The Parks Program is held Monday-Friday from 10:30am-4:00pm and is led by CPR and First Aid certified Recreation Staff. This program features games, arts & crafts, special events, and optional excursions. Excursions take place every Wednesday, except the first week of the program and the week of 4th of July. Excursion signups are taken on a first come, first serve basis and the first 30 participants at each site are guaranteed a spot on the excursion. The only item necessary to participate in this program is a completed emergency form, which can be found in person at the site during June 3-August 2 or online at www.cityoflosalamitos.org/recreation.
