Surfer Spots Body Off Seal Beach; Search Underway
A Seal Beach surfer spotted a body in the ocean, Wednesday.

SEAL BEACH, CA — A surfer reported seeing a body floating in the ocean off of Seal Beach on Wednesday, according to witnesses on the scene. A search was still underway at 5 p.m.
A report of a person submerged near tower 7 came in about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Seal Beach lifeguard Nick Bolin.
"There are lifeguards in the water, divers, boats and rescuers on personal water craft searching the area," Bolin told the Orange County Register.

According to Seal Beach Police Department's information officer Mike Henderson, there were no current missing persons reports.
“We don’t even have a confirmed missing swimmer right now,” Henderson told the Register. “We have a witness who thought they saw a body in the water. We’re conducting a search operation right now. It’s someone who thought they saw a body in the water, we take that at face value. I can’t really assess the credibility.”
