Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report. Well, she's in need of a jump-start. Overall, we're looking at more super small energy along this stretch of sand. So, gas up the car and head towards Huntington Beach where you can find a few playful size waves. The conditions are starting off pretty clean and glassy, with a mixture of some very minor northwest wind and groundswell and some minimal south southwesterly energy. That recipe is offering some quick little lines, with not much to get you going. Most Seal Beach spots are hanging in the ankle high range, with the standout breaks pulling some knee high sets. A log is definitely your best bet for this area. Taking a look at the tides...at 9:08 this morning the tide drops to a 0.4 low which will have many spots drained out and lacking water mid to late morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 2.8 high at 3:52 this afternoon. If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 full-suit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water.
