Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report. Well it's showing a little more energy out there, but overall it's still pretty small along this stretch of coast. However, if you don't mind doing a little driving down south, you'll pick off plenty of playful size waves.
The conditions are clean and glassy early on, with a combination of mostly fading south southwest swell and some new westerly energy beginning to fill-in. That recipe is helping out that shape a bit and providing this neck of the woods with some workable ones, with the small wave equipment.
Most of the Seal Beach area is hanging in the knee high range, with the focal points pulling thigh high waves, with a few waist high sets.

Unfortunately, we're dealing with another big high tide this morning which means several spots are going to be pretty slow or swamped mid-morning. At 8:10 a.m it climbs up to a 5.3 high and then drains out to a negative 0.3 low at 2:42 p.m.
If you're going to get wet, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit or the 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
